Beechenhill Farm is a 37 ha/92 acre organic farm in the Peak District National Park. When you stay you can explore our land with our self guided farm trail. The farm is a working place so always check what's happening to avoid putting yourself at risk.
We have produced organic milk here at Beechenhill Farm since 1984. We milked 35-40 organic Friesan and Swedish Red cows twice a day every single day of the year, even Christmas Day! In early 2020 Terry stopped milking and, after a short stint as an organic beef farmer, is now embarking on the adventure of retirement. The land is currently being leased out to neighbouring farmers but watch this space for interesting future projects!
We are very happy to do organised visits for Schools and Colleges covering organic agriculture, eco-tourism and sustainability covering:
- Inputs and outputs
- Geographical location
- Organic dairying
- Organic lamb production
- Farming in a National Park
- Grants and Subsidies
